So here it is, finally was able to take a shot of my home from years ago. It's amazing how I used to remember it and how it looks now. The only thing that hasn't changed is that tree in the front that keeps blooming those flowers that look like bells. Lets take a look back at my old neighborhood and of course, food food food!
Here is another shot of my old home. It looks a lot different from what I remember but it has been seventeen years so there is bound to change.
The "labyrinth" as how we used to call it is still there. We called it like that because the buildings all look the same so anyone going in there who wouldn't know their way would get lost. Me and my brother had a couple of friends that lived there.
The park just a block away from the old home is still there. It's dedicated to the firemen of the district. It has gotten some new additions like a playground for the kids but this statue has stayed the same, of course they have to re-paint it every once in a while due to punks who spray graffiti all over it.
We went to pick up some "Yuquitas" which are probably the most delicious snack in the world! They are so good and so addictive!
And this place is still here! My dad used to take me and my brother here to get our haircuts and I don't mean the bakery but one of the top floors. Afterwards though, my dad would take me and my brother for Pizza in the bakery you see here. There were times that there wasn't any Pizza left :(...
Here we have a place we used to go back in the day. It's still as good and active as it was back then. The food here is great!
There have been lots of important people such as politicians and actors come here and have taken a photo with the owner of the restaurant. Even though the master chef has retired, she is teaching the future generations her tricks of the kitchen.
Here is the result of what was only in the plate for a couple of minutes. This food was amazing!!! Looking at this photo is making me hungry!
I had to take a photo of this wonderful treat. Believe it or not the KFC here has a treat combination with a very popular chocolate bar. The result is a wonderful desert. I just had to try one!
Finally, my dad was nice enough to take me to this market where I could find souvenirs to take back home. There was just so much stuff here, it's hard to pick! Everything was beautiful and well made!
There are very awesome clothes with native taste all over. There were also other interesting shirts Hot Topic style with Peruvian slogans implanted to them.
Here is even more stuff! I sure hope you enjoyed all these photos!! There will be more to show off as my trip finally concludes. There are many photos I'm keeping out as there is just too much to show during this trip. I gotta say it's a joy being back home especially being back in my old neighborhood. Now, a pirate hunt early tomorrow awaits!
