Finds 1657: Commodore 64 Monitor Addition! Plays Famicom Quite Well…

So I was doing my usual search for Commodore 64 on Offer Up and this came up. It was a listing for a Commodore 64 with monitor for 600 bucks which was way out of my budget so I offered to get the monitor only for a very low and more favorable amount. I ended up paying 125 for the monitor and the seller ended up including the Commodore 64 console with it! I was happy with the monitor and the console was a nice added bonus even though the seller said the console doesn’t work. I have a monitor in my office and my room now! They make retro games look freaking amazing! A forever home for this monitor that will live on as long as it possibly can! This is one of the best findings I had recently.

Got a bunch of Floppy 5 1/4 discs with some boxed games. I won this on eBay for practically nothing and now that I have a working floppy drive for these disks, it's time to get to it and work on new projects! Amazing loot!

Finds 1526: Commodore 64 Monitor is Finally Mine!

After years of looking for one, I finally got one in my collection and it was local too. I wouldn't want a monitor like this to be mailed as there is always a chance of it getting damaged. I had a few closed calls locally so it was frustrating when the deal didn't happened or someone just beat me to it. Anyways, this is the Commodore 64 monitor model 1702. It works great with the Commodore 64 as well as NES and other retro consoles. It only offers mono sound as you can see from the inputs on the front of the TV, so I guess the Genesis is another console it can work quite well. Overall, it's an amazing pick up and totally worth the drive. I will be re-organizing my office once again to fit yet another monitor...hmmm maybe I should give up one of them. Perhaps?

Galaga Port for C64 aka Commodore 64 Mini

Happy Sunday gamers! Today I have this really cool game to show you. It's for that little gadget called the C64 which mimics the Commodore 64 games. This one was done with a lot of hard work and dedication. It's Galaga after all! The game also comes with two player option. 

The game can be downloaded here at the author's page so be sure to check it out. I highly recommend this as it's a very faithful port with a Commodore 64 touch. I myself am a fan of Galaga and definitely enjoy when ports like these are released. The author of the game has a lot of detailed information on how things were accomplish to make this game playable. Finds 1510: Quickshot II -Joystick for Atari, Commodore, Computer Compatible.

I found this wonderful joystick at the thrift store and had to pick this up because of the awesome artwork on the box. The joystick looks brand new and it’s definitely in good condition. I will have to try it out on the Atari sometime and see how sturdy it is. I have to see what all of the Micro-Switch is all about.

Finds 1509: Atari Wireless Controllers and TMNT VHS

Here are a couple of items I got recently. One of them is a TMNT VHS which was fifty cents while the other one was free. Yes, that’s right! Free Atari wireless controllers, but that’s not all, they are also compatible with VIC-20 and Commodore 64. These things are beautiful and brand new. I do need two 9 Volt batteries to test them out. They’re really awesome.

It definitely could use more work as the keyboard doesn't even work, it's only for showing purposes. The controller though is decent. A good attempt but nothing really amazing.

Here are some goodies that arrived at our headquarters. Space Harrier for the Commodore 64 has beautiful artwork and it's a solid addition to my collection. Sega Classics Collection doesn't even need an introduction, it's just an amazing compilation of games for the PS2. New Adventure Island for the PC Engine is the more affordable version of the game. One day I'll have the Turbo Grafx version though... Then, two Limited Run Games! Lili Limited Edition and N++.
