Best finds of the month January-November

Here is a compilation of my best pick ups of this year!

January

 

 There was a lot on eBay which I was able to snipe in the last second. This is the result of such lot! With amazing games like Zelda and Castlevania, I was struck with joy! Definitely the best find of January!

February

 With a very busy schedule, I wasn't able to do much hunting but I was able to pick up this gem of a game. I was sad to realize that there was a huge collector's edition that is worth a big bundle. I tried searching for it at a reasonable price but failed to do so. 

March

 

 A very good friend of mine decided to send me a box full of great loot! There were games for all sorts of consoles. It also came with an old school flash cart for the GBA. It was just amazing! The best part of all is that it was free! Another highlight would be a silver modded PS2 slim. I was ecstatic at such an awesome gift from a friend. 

April

April was packed with finds including Earthbound and a lot of Famicom games. There were just so many new additions and it was definitely hard to pick but Popful Mail by Working Designs won top honors for this month. This is just an obscure masterpiece! I was able to snatch it for an incredible price as well. You want a quality sidescroller? Look no further! Sorry Earthbound, you came close but not close enough! 

May

May was a month without much going on. I did managed to pick up some Pokemon pirates which are all interesting in their own way. Apparently, they are part of a three part Pokemon game. I'm not sure what's the deal with it, but they seem to be divided into a trilogy of becoming a Pokemon master? or something for that matter. 

June

June was packed with tons of amazing finds especially with my trip to Peru and it was so tough to pick one! I had finds like Mega Man for Game Gear, Boxed Clear Gameboy, Mega Man Legends 2, etc. The list was long but I was able to pick this loot mainly because they were my first pick ups in Peru, and they meant a lot to me! Everywhere you look, you see gold in this pic! 

July

July was packed with some great findings at the beginning of the month but nothing after the middle of it. Nevertheless, This Turbo Graphics Express and Grandia made any other find look like nothing. The Turbo Express works great and Grandia is as minty as ever! Two more gems for my collection!

August

August was packed with even more craziness! I picked up games every other day but this lot really made my day. Having both Dragon Warrior 3 and 4 boxed was always in the agenda for my collection. I still can't believe they are sitting on my shelf looking all pretty and what not! Top honors for this loot! 

September

This find was pretty epic because it was the first time I've ever owned a NES Complete in a box (Already have the NES 2 boxed but this is the first one!) And it was amazingly cheap. Now, ignore the fact that it came with that Golf game, the box itself still has that new NES smell....it's just gorgeous!!! I love it!!!

October

 October brought an incredible garage sale find. How often do you find these games??? It was just beautiful!!! Persona 2 was definitely an amazing addition and with that game I was able to complete the set. The chances of finding it in the wild are low so I was happy to just hold it in my hands!

 November

 

 This was one of the most incredible lots I've ever come across! All beautiful boxed minty games....My heart was about to stop for a second there! There were so many amazing finds this month that it was extremely hard to pick just one. I had picked up Mega Man V for both NES and Gameboy, other lots of games in Titusville like Ghost Lion and Bart vs the World. Even the boxed NES I found in the garbage came into the running for top honors of November but there is no way I can stay away from this. It's a gamers dream lot!! 

So that's it, all my best finds of the year for each respective month. I hope to find even better gems for what's left of 2013~!

Finds of the Month (June 2013)

So here is the find that topped all of the rest! It was a gift but it was definitely the best one of them all! The Pokemon Pikachu Limited Edition 3DSXL is a gem to add to my collection so I will cherish it for years to come!

Find of the month (December)

There was no doubt that the Christmas finds took top honors. They just mean more than just video games and accessories, they are from your loved ones and therefore should be cherished more than anything. Each one of these gifts will always remind me of the loved ones who gave them to me and the thought it meant to me. An awesome feeling indeed ^_^

Find of the month (November)

There was no doubt which would be the top pick of November. With the release of Persona 4 Golden, every other find looked obsolete! This is probably one of the best RPGs of all time! Haven't tried it? I suggest you do even if you don't have a PSvita, you can get the PS2 version. The game is perfect in this remake! Well done Atlus, I'll be your slut forever!

Find of the Month (October)

We got back to our normal selves and had quite a lot of postings. Awesome finds such as the Contra Hard Corps CIB for the Genesis and Dragon Quest V for the Famicom were very neat finds but this one beat them overall. Doki Doki Panic is a FDS game that was released back in the Famicom/NES era. The game was never brought to cart form until some savvy pirates decided to port it that is. I was able to pick this gem up on eBay for a very decent price and it has definitely become the gem of my collection. It's a gem alright and earns top honors in the month of October.

 With so very few finds this past month, we didn't had much competition as to what to pick but this one would've definitely been a top pick. There is so much stuff coming for October! That's a promise!

Find of the Month (August 2012)

There is no doubt that these two gadgets took top honors for last month. It's incredible just getting one of them but being able to acquired both was something amazing! Sadly, I haven't had much time to fool around with the PSvita due to school and work but I'll get around to it. That game Gravity Rush sure sounds like a lot of fun. So that's about it for the month of August.

Find of the Month (July 2012)

The obscurity of this game won top honors last month. It's not only based on a classic game but the game also has an awesome box in Spanish. Real or not, this is one of the more interesting finds of July. New gems await as a new month has begun.

Find of the Month (June 2012)

Top honors this month goes to Super Mario Bros 2 Asian version for the NES. It's so odd to come across these Asian version games especially for good prices and even more when they are boxed. It was no doubt the best pick up from the month of June. Lets hope this month brings even better findings! It can only get better!!!

Find of the Month (May 2012)

May was probably one of the most amazing months of findings ever. After such a dry April, things weren't looking that well for my collection until the findings started coming. Overall, there were just so many to choose from but only this one prevailed from all of them. Doki Doki Panic Famicom cart port is truly amazing and so rare to find! There is no doubt that it will be a long while until another one comes along. This is my new Famicom ace!

Find of the Month (March)

Kid Icarus took top honors not only for the long await but mainly because it came with an awesome title as a bonus which is the original Kid Icarus with some 3D effects. Can't say no to this one!!!

Find of the Month (February) Techno Orgasm!

The Technodrome was the obvious pick for last month's Find of the Month. There is nothing kewler than the Technodrome when it comes to the TMNT. It may not be as big as in the cartoon but it definitely brought back some nostalgia factors....ahhh what a wonderful pick!

Find of the Month (January)

This had a more sentimental value than value on its own. This is by far my favorite Final Fantasy game period. It's mainly because it's one of the more odd Final Fantasy games ever released. The first time I played this game was via-emulation and the discovery of such an unheard of game was incredible. I was shocked that it had been released so I played it to the very end. It was a pretty big deal especially since I played it back in 1998. Top honors to one unforgettable fantasy!

So there was a no doubter that this is definitely the find of last month. Not only is this gaming related but it's also sexually related. This is none other than the Street Fighter sexual enhancement pill! It's the perfect combination and the find of this month! Five bucks is surely worth it even if it doesn't work.

Find of the Month (November) Dracula X and M.U.S.H.A.

With so many findings this month, it was a tough task to pick just one. This is the first time that two findings will be picked as the find of the month of course excluding lot of games etc. These were two different entries! Anyways, the games are Dracula X and M.U.S.H.A. for the SNES and Genesis respectively. Each game is quite rare and has a lot of great replay value. I still haven't beaten either one but I hope to accomplish that sometime in the future. As for now, I'll just enjoy the cove r art :p Till next time!

Find of the Month (October)

With so many finds this month, it became clear that this wasn't going to be easy. In the end, the nostalgia of the Game & Watch series made it all a little easier to decide. This month we have this Game & Watch lot as the winners! The games are Mario Bros and Octopus. As you can see, it's not only one Mario Bros but two! For three dollars I say it was a pretty good deal ^_^

Find of the Month (August)

How often do you come across unreleased prototypes like these? Or should I call them samplers? Well, not that often. I was lucky enough to pick one of these babies up thanks to my good friend which I will not name as he might get harassed with messages har har har! This find actually beat the Dragon Warrior games by a notch! It's truly a great find of massive proportions...now will I ever get to it? My game is pretty long but I know I will and post my findings on here as usual. Until then!
