Manual Monday 031: Super Mario USA (FC)

We are back and this week we have a nice treat! It's the manual of Super Mario USA. This game was originally released as Doki Doki Panic but later on got a release on Japan. We got it in America first, but we missed out on Lost Levels till the Super Mario All Stars package came out. Gotta love history. Enjoy the scans!

Till next week! Enjoy!

Pirate Game of the Week 064: Super Mario IV (FC)

There were many Mario hacks out back in the early 90s and this is one of the better ones. It's basically a hack of the game Armadillo for the Famicom. You play as Mario and can turn into a ball. It's a sidescroller so adding Mario into the mix makes lots of sense. As far as I know, only the title screen and the Armadillo sprite are the only things hacked in the game. Lets take a loot at its other factors...

The music is fun although it's no Mario music it definitely does the job to keep you entertained. Of course, it's a pirate so we can't give all the credit to Mario as it's just a hack.

The graphics are good as it was one of the later Famicom titles to be released. The Mario sprites are quite good and the title screen does justice to what this is. I'm not even sure where that Mario came out from but it's all good. The levels are well designed and detailed.

The game is just fun to play. It has a lot of mechanics especially when you turn into a ball and defeat all the bad guys! It can get very challenging along the way but it's a fun game nonetheless. You won't lose your mind !

The game is just another one in the list to pick up and play. The game is very easy going and fun overall. It's too bad it's only one player because a two player option would've made it more enjoyable.

This is one of the better Mario bootlegs of them all. It's a lot of fun and definitely one to pick up if you ever see it. You can't go wrong with it! ^_^

Super Mario Bros 3 on 2DS

I decided to rip out the Bravely Default sticker from the wrapper and stick it in some retro game. The lucky one was my custom label Super Mario Bros 3 game for the NES. The game is actually playable if you think about it. The eshop will eventually or already has it(I haven't checked). That's about it!

Retro-bit of the day 300: Mario's Game Gallery (PC)

Here is a very interesting PC title. Mario's Game Gallery apparently has a bunch of different games in one! Isn't that considered a pirate multicart? Maybe I'm just digging too much into this...

Finds 563: Super Mario All-Stars Wii Limited Edition

I went to do a couple of deals and then on the way back stopped at a pawn shop. I didn't know I would bump into this Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii. This is the limited edition and the soundtrack is still sealed. I was a little bummed out though because when I registered the game, I didn't get any coins! :(

Here are some recent stuff that came in the mail for me. There is one item missing that apparently got sent to the wrong destination. I hope to be able to get that game but in the mean time, check out these awesome games! The gem of course is Mega Man Legends 2 which I will have to find a manual for. The Nintendo DSI is also quite gorgeous! It's the 25th Anniversary Mario Edition! Very collectable indeed! ^_^
