Ootake v2.54

"- V-Sync (function to redraw screen smoothly) processing has been improved.
The tempo of a built-in sound source (carve of a detailed rhythm) is
steady, and it has approached a real machine. And, when the window of
Ootake was brought to the upper part of the screen in some personal
computers, the bug of V-Sync was solved.
- The message display processing has been improved. The overall operation
lightened in some measure. And, when the desktop is used by a classic
style with WindowsXP, the bug that the label of the window blinked (
generated from v2.50) was corrected.
- The speed and timing were brought close to the movement of a real machine.
In "Final Lap Twin", when the hero enters the course in the field, the
problem that the screen occasionally fell into disorder by one frame (
generated from v2.07) was solved. In the stage 3 of "Dragon Saver", when
the wall moves, the problem that the display of one line falls into
disorder was solved. I think that the timing approached a real machine in
other games, too.
- Additionally, a detailed part has been improved and corrected.
+ The execution file for "Windows 98/Me" was opened to the public. The
operation test is not done. Please see "Readme98.txt" in the ZIP file
about details and notes, etc.

PSP 3D Plugin v2.0

"The new version 2.0 does now come with an "in-game" menu. Keep pressed for more than 5 seconds to open the menu and press again to close the same.

It's now able to directly save the settings made to the memory stick which will be used automatic when starting the game next time.

Not 100% confirmed but it should work on 6.20 Pro B5.

New game supported:
FIFA 11.

Partly supported are Gods Eater and Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core. However, due to issues with the compatibility the anaglyph colors are displayed in different frames causing some flicker :o(. This might be solved with the next version..."

Altirra 1.9 Test 40

"I found and fixed a bug in the OSS 034M mapper, which should fix v1.02:

The type-B image appears to be bad -- one bank is blank and another bank doesn't match any from the other images.

I can reproduce the accelerated floating-point issue, but I don't know what's causing it yet. I will probably push the fix for that and atz support to the next version.

@Leonis:
That's a bit unfortunate. I haven't tried localizing any of the code, but I'm guessing that you're getting trouble there because the C runtime is set to C locale. I think you can work around it by changing the code to this:

str.sprintf(L"Cannot delete file "%ls": %ls", fle->mFileName.c_str(), VDTextAToW(e.gets()).c_str());"

Audio Overload v2.1 Test1 for Linux

"Features
- Playback support for thirty three different music formats.
- Transparent decompression of 7ZIP, GZIP, LHA, RAR, and ZIP archives.
- Optional volume level normalization.
- Export-to-WAV functionality."

"Hi all,

I believe all previously released Linux versions of AO used OSS /dev/dsp, which in the last 12 months has basically disappeared completely from mainline distros. I have been building a better audio output backend in that time, and I have a version today for testing. It's a 32-bit binary that I have tested on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32-bit and Fedora 14 64-bit. (x64 Fedora users may need to install some .i686 packages to get everything going).

Here's the command-line switch:

-output=pulse gives full native PulseAudio support using the "non-simplified" API. This is the default if you give no options.
-output=alsa gives native ALSA support, which is a little buggy but should work on straight ALSA setups with no PulseAudio
-output=oss gives the old /dev/dsp OSS support (if you use OSS4 for whatever reason)
-output=sdl uses SDL output similar to MAME/MESS - this is intended as a compatible fallback if nothing else works

NOTE that this does not necessarily contain any bugfixes or new format support, this is simply to get the thing running again on modern systems. In particular it changes nothing with WAV output from multi-song files like NSFs.

If you download this, please reply if it works or not and what your distro is and which options you tried. Thanks!"

GUI: when the config panel is open, and using keyboard shortcuts for frame-
limiter (F4) or aspect-ratio (F6), reflect it at the GUI, but ONLY if there are
no intermediate changes at the GUI (i.e., only if the "Apply" button is
currently disabled). This would prevent re-applying obsolete values when
clicking Apply/OK for for these two configs (after they were changed via KB
while the GUI was open).

This is a very light infrastructure to allow some synchronization between KB
shortcuts and the GUI. Currently only used for frame limiter and aspect ratio KB
shortcuts. I wanted to also use it with frame-skipping (shift-F4), however,
frame skipping GUI seem to have other issues which prevent it from properly
reflecting KB modifications, so it's out for now."
