Monster Ball Go! Pidgey-Pidgeotto-Pidgeot

It has been a long while since the last post of this series so it's always nice to bring stuff back for a second running. Pirate Game of the Week being one of them. Anyways, this series was never dead I just totally forgot about it. I have a deep love for Pokemon. I have been playing the games ever since the first game was released and of course was hooked with the anime until the third season (Johto Journeys). Over the years though, I have disliked the anime series for obvious reasons (The same shit over and over) And also the games haven't offered enough for me to put the 100+ hours into it. Putting all of that side, lets get started! This time around we have the Pidgey evolution stages as well as Pidgey itself. The Pokemon is from the 1st generation and one of the few ones that actually has three evolutions. Pidgey is a great Pokemon for novice trainers and very easy to catch. Probably as common as Rattata from the same generation of Pokemon, It's actually worth while to raise it to its final evolution.

Once, Pidgey reaches level 18 it'll evolve but of course you can stop the evolution by equipping your Pidgey with the Everstone. Of course, I'm all for evolving your Pokemon but it'll be your decision to do what you want. Of course, once evolved Pidgeotto is even stronger than Pidgey. With such an increment in the stats department you'll definitely have a very good advantage. The main habitat of these Pokemon is the forest. If you ever want to catch one in any of the Pokemon games in which this Pokemon is included, I suggest you hit the forest but then again the Pokemon is so common that you'll find it in the oddest of places. The evolutionary stage doesn't end there though....

The final evolution is Pidgeot at level 36. There is nothing better when a Pokemon evolves twice because each evolution gives some added powers and abilities to it. As you can see, Pidgeot is fat! Yeah a fat bird! But he makes up with its speed. This is definitely one of the flying type Pokemon to have in your team. Although not the strongest, you'll definitely have a great ally in your battle to become a Pokemon master.

Monster Ball Go! Tauros

So yet another edition of Monster Ball Go! is finally here. This time around we take a look at the lone Pokemon Tauros. There is not much to say about this Pokemon as it doesn't have any evolutionary stages but lets see what we can dig up.

Monster Ball Go! Pichu-Pikachu-Raichu

It was well overdue to post another post based on the Pokemon information series. There is no need for introduction when you are referring to this Pokemon as it's probably the most popular of them all. In the first game, Pikachu was the wild Pokemon you would catch as the game hadn't introduced the baby form of Pikachu. This does give me lots of questions as with the anime, there was an episode with a smaller Pikachu which made us believe it was the baby form of it. It was the first generation of Pokemon so I will let it slide. Pikachu is not the most powerful monster as it lacks a lot of defense. It could be the reason why Ash keeps losing everywhere he goes but that's another story so we'll just leave it at that. Lets go through the different forms of the Pika-cycle.

Starting with Pichu, you will get one of the new breed of baby Pokemon introduced in the later games in the Pokemon universe. The way to get the baby Pokemon was to breed two Pikachus and then carry the egg to the ends of the universe! Not really, just carry it until it would hatch. Pichu is not that strong but can carry the egg moves you wanted to pass on. Furthermore, Pichu will only evolve if you love it to death! That's right, you can have a Pichu level one only to love and cherish it and then once it levels up, it might evolve to Pikachu. The happiness factor needs to be at least 220 for a successful evolution so be aware of that.
Moving on to Pikachu, this Pokemon is mostly known for its speed. If you want a fast Pokemon with powerful electric moves then Pikachu is your pick. Be aware that this Pokemon doesn't have the best defense, in fact it's pretty horrible but the speed makes up for it. You can level this Pokemon with no interruption as the only way to evolve it to the final form is to use a Thunder Stone. Pikachu's different evolutions sure make it unique. As a baby form, you need to love it a lot for it to evolve and as a Pikachu, all you need is the Thunder Stone. This does give you control whether you want to evolve your Pokemon or not. By the way, for those of you still wondering the Pikachu from the animated series is a girl. The proof is the first couple of episodes of the first season of Pokemon. I'm not sure which one it is but Ash clearly says it's a her.

Finally, you have the all powerful Raichu. Think what you want but this Pokemon is stronger than Pikachu. It wouldn't make any sense it not being stronger as it's an evolved form and therefore the most powerful form of a Pokemon. The same faultiness falls for Raichu as its defense is still not much improved but its attack is greatly improved. I would suggest you to level up Pikachu to your liking then evolve it to help it get even more stronger.

You can't go wrong with creating your ultimate Pokemon team but you sure can have fun making it. In the end, it's about all your favorite Pokemon put into one awesome team. There are lots of trainers out there only willing to use the legendary Pokemon which in the end doesn't make the game much fun at all. Be sure to keep all these tips in mind and until then, catch y'all later!

Monster Ball Go! Azurill-Marill-Azumarill

Here we have the infamous Pikablue! Yes, back in the year 1999 when rumors on a young internet world spread about the new monsters for the upcoming pokemon games, people started to guess what the monsters would be called. We only had so many websites back in the day claiming they knew the names of the new pokemon and Marill was right there in the front of the pack especially for the peculiar name it claimed to have. Pikablue was the name! We later found out it was Marill due to either the Pokemon official names or the anime series when it debuted in season 2 during the Orange Islands saga.

Azurill evolves by happiness to Marill, then at level 18 to Azumarill. Very interesting evolution indeed!

Furthermore, Marill (Pikablue) is a very peculiar Pokemon which has multiple evolutionary forms. You'll find Marill in the wild quite easily but will need to breed your Azumarill or Marill while they hold the Sea Essence to obtain the baby form Azurill. Each games seem to carry it so you will not have a problem coming across it. The Pokemon is not the strongest of the water pokemon but they do carry a lot of HP under their body of fat. Speaking of body of fat, some of them carry that as an special ability so make sure you find out information about each ability in order to use them to your advantage.

Misty holding Azurill

The Pokemon is quite easy to level up and can do a lot of damage to your opponents fire pokemon. i don't recommend it for other pokemon unless you use ice moves on dragon types. Be sure you add a move to increase the defense or attack of that pokemon. It may help with the speed but the pokemon is slow from the beginning so you won't have much of an effect, I suggest you build up your defenses and take advantage of the high 300+ HP. So that should do it for now, I hope some of these tips help you on your quest to becoming a pokemon master.

Monster Ball Go! Combee-Vespiquen

In this edition of Monster Ball Go! We are going to take a look at a very peculiar Pokemon and your quest for mastering it. The Pokemon is Combee. Combee is a very unique Pokemon as the gender of the Pokemon really relies on its evolution. If you have a male Combee then you will be stuck with it as there is no chance for it to evolve. If you have a female Combee, you'll be more than happy to know that it'll evolve once it reaches level 21. The evolutionary trait somehow mimics the ideology that the queen bee is the boss and everyone else is their servant, yeah I'm talking about the male bees. It's quite difficult to find a Vespiquen(evolution of female Combee) but not impossible.

If you don't want to be headbutting trees then I suggest you go to your local breeding center and breed the hell out of your male Combee with a Ditto. You'll eventually come across a female offspring. There is a reported 12% chance of a female offspring so be sure you have the patience to hatch multiple eggs. Don't forget to use a fire pokemon with flame body as its ability so the eggs will hatch faster. I hope this helped you out in some questions about this oddity of a pokemon. Until next time!
