Finds 1687: Micro Machines, PC Software, and Mac Soft!

Finding software has been quite difficult lately, but I was finally able to score some really interesting pieces. Putting aside the usual PC software, I did found a bunch of Mac Soft branded software for Mac. These were especially made for the Mac computers of the time. Some notables are Unreal Tournament and Quake 2. I think it’s really cool to find these type of softwares as they aren’t as popular or known by many. I also picked up a bunch of others, lots to see below.

Finds 1667: Macintosh oddware, SSX Blur, Kirby’s Pinball Land, Yugioh Cards, Zelda Phantom Hourglass, and PlayStation Lights!

Here are some interesting additions that I found while thrifting and hitting Targey. The PlayStation light and Yu-gi-oh! trading cars were from Targey as I went looking for Ninja Turtles and came out empty handed. They did had some but none that I needed. I also found some games which were SSX Blur which I didn’t have in my collection. I also picked up Kirby’s Pinball Land and Zelda Phantom Hourglass which will make good trades when I hit conventions or a possible future trip. Finally, the unusual software boxes of Macintosh programs really caught my attention. They are both sealed and apparently come with tools for design which is in my field. Isn’t that convenient?

Finds 1654: Wild Guns Reloaded, Vectorman, Mini Mac, Sonic Adventure, and More!

A week full of different hunting leads to multiple games additions. There is a little bit of everything so lets take a look! 

Here is Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast, Wild Guns Reloaded, and a blue PlayStation 4 controller. I already have Wild Guns Reloaded for PS4, but I wanted the Switch version. The controller was tested and works! The Sonic Adventure is a little scratch but I’m sure it works alright. 

Here is some PC software. Flight Simulator 98 is part of the series which was shockingly really popular, so popular that it had a yearly release like a sports title. The other two are sealed goodies. I think I already have them but I don’t know yet. 

Here is Vectorman for the Sega Genesis, Final Fantasy VI disc only for PS1, and a Mac Mini. I just found out that you need a proprietary monitor for the Mac Mini so I’m kind of bummed out for that. I will look for one, but I don’t really have the room for much!!

Here are some awesome additions I picked up at the thrift store. The wii games were a little pricey but seeing as they are rare, they are definitely worth it. Mario Party 2 was a big surprise. The two Mice were awesome additions too. I'm using that Magic Mouse on my Macbook.

Found this clamshell Ibook G3 but haven't been able to find a charger for it. I will find one soon, and will show if this thing works or not. As of now, it's resting with all my other hardware. It's beautiful!

Finds 1552: PC Stuff Everywhere! Super Drive, Floppy Drive, and Games

Today was one of those days in which I didn't think I would find anything, but found so much! I went to my usual thrift store and it was pretty much cleaned out, at least for the stuff that I'm looking for which involved games and consoles. I usually don't pick up much of consoles anymore as I have what I need in my collection. I almost picked up a mini Space Invaders arcade but skipped on it after thinking about it. I just don't have the room for these kind of things. Anyways, I also saw a copy of Pokemon Diamond for 499.99! I can't believe we have gotten to this point in the hobby. It's becoming ridiculous that at times, I just want to call it quits. Things are just becoming more and more unattainable, it's sad. After leaving this thrift store, I went ahead and did my usual errands that I had to do and was close by to another thrift store and figured, what the heck! Well, thank goodness I went as I was able to find pretty much everything on the photos. Only a couple of the games were from the first spot, but the second one had some classic games, floppy disks, a floppy drive that I really needed, and even a Super Drive for Mac computers which can be quite helpful! The amount of games I got was massive and I was very happy to add a lot of them to my collection. Please be sure to check out the photos for the rest of the loot and close up of it. 

Here is some of the PC goodies. Never had Elder Scrolls 3 for the PC, and Lords collection is just so awesome! 

More PC goodies! Empire Earth an some programs as well as Frogger! 

A box of floppy disks which you don't see often but I'll take it! GUN for the PC was interesting and I know I've heard of it before. The drives are there too! A USB floppy, and a Superdrive for MAC. I did test them out and they work flawlessly. What a great day of hunting!

Finds 1516: It's a Macbook Air WOW!

This is probably one of the best pick ups in a while. Mainly because the price was just right and the Macbook Air was in such amazing condition. Anyways, the story is quite funny. I was in my usual routine at the thrift store but didn't see much that would peak my interest. I decided to look around a bit more and saw this big composition notebook in this box. I thought it was really cool but when I went to pick it up, I noticed that it was a cover for a laptop, what laptop was this? a Macbook Air. I started inspecting it and saw that it was in great shape but, it showed the folder with question mark. Now, I'm no Macbook expert but I know that if you trouble shoot it, things will be alright. I did just that and it went into recovery mode but due to the fact that the battery was almost dead, I decided to shut it down. I had seen enough and after taking the protective case off, I saw that it was a Macbook Air from 2019 which is actually really new if you ask me. The lady working at the thrift store saw that I was checking it out and tried to find me a charger but couldn't find one, then she goes, 'Maybe I can get you a discount' and I was like 'Thank you!!' She came back to tell me that they would take ten dollars off which means I paid 189.99 for it! I think that was quite a deal! I paid for it and went on my way. I have other stuff to show but it'll have to wait on the next post as this one needed one by itself!

Finds 1515: Mario Bros VHS, Wizard of Oz VHS, and Apple Keyboard

Here are some interesting finds. We have Mario Bros VHS and Wizard of Oz VHS. I actually noticed the cover of Mario Bros in this box while thrifting. The seller said he could do two for a dollar so I had to look for another VHS tape and decided to go with the Oz VHS. I also picked up the keyboard for a dollar. Now, that Apple keyboard definitely needs a retrobright so I will be making a post on how to do this in the future. You haven't seen the last of the keyboard!
