Game-bit of the day 907: Oregon Trail (PC)

This is another classic game that needs to be an entry for DOS Month! Oregon Trail has been re-released so many times, it rivals the legends such as Pac-man and Mario Bros. There is even a board game of the classic. I'm impressed but nothing beats the classic.

This is a classic side scroller that reminds a lot to Super Mario Bros. Even the sprite is similar to Mario standing there. It might just be a very fun clone after all!

Game-bit of the day 905: God of Thunder (PC)

A Zelda style puzzler for DOS. The game is really challenging at times. It comes with three episodes which was the norm back them with DOS games. You would be given 1/3 of the game in order to get the feel for it, then you can pay to get the other two episodes! This game is freeware now so enjoy the full adventure!

Game-bit of the day 899: Commander Keen IV (PC)

DOS Month is back! It's been like nine years since I have celebrated this wonderful event but it's time for a second round. I will try to make this a yearly thing on April of every year. It actually used to be on June. Anyways, I will be posting a DOS game every day of April. I'm starting a little late here but as you can see, my Instagram is up to date with the releases. I will just spam them today.

Today's game is Commander Keen IV for DOS. What can I say about this game that hasn't been said already. It's an amazing title that comes with amazing gameplay and music. You will definitely enjoy this one. The game is short as the series is divided in episodes, but it's so good. If you haven't tried it, I highly suggest you do. What are you waiting for?

DOS Month Day 31: Commander Keen

So it's finally over, although I could have mentioned more than 31 titles this wil have to do. I hope to do this next year and pick 31 new titles and add on from there. After today, everything will return back to normal. So time to finish things up, Commander Keen made themselves heard because their creators knew their created engine. This was a base engine for many of the other platformers to come and in my opinion they released the most insanely fun side scrollers of the PC era. Furthermore, who hasn't played classic PC games without bumping into Keen for a fun filled adventure. The original first game is just as amazing as the favorite part 4 and in many ways plays like Mario. You can't go wrong without trying this game. This game is so well known that you can even play it on your PSP(Yes I installed and tried it out!). There is just so much fun you can have at home or on the go. I hope you guys enjoyed and tried at least one of the thirty one titles I mentioned during this month and well, back to retro console gaming starting tomorrow. Cya later!

DOS Month Day 30: Dark Forces

This game is what Star Wars fans urged for their PCs back in the mid 90s. The game is very exciting and intriguing. The classic Star Wars tunes really keeps me on my guard as you know something is going to happen. This game delivered with great results and is still one of the favorite PC Star Wars games to this day. You can't beat a FPS combined with Star Wars characters. Enjoy!
