Hot off the heels of my big 2000th Finds milestone, I’ve got another exciting round of games added to the collection. This time it’s a mix of PlayStation 2, PlayStation 1, and Sega Master System titles – a nice variety that shows just how fun collecting across different generations can be. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new on the shelf:
Airforce Delta Strike (PS2 – Konami)
Konami brought their aerial combat series to the PS2 with Airforce Delta Strike, a fast-paced jet fighter sim with anime-style character designs and a campaign full of missions. While it may not be as well-known as Ace Combat, it’s a solid addition for fans of flight shooters, and the stylistic presentation makes it stand out.
Savage Skies (PS2 – Bam! Entertainment)
This one is a bit of a hidden gem. Savage Skies mixes fantasy with aerial combat, letting you ride dragons and mythical beasts in intense dogfights. With its imaginative worlds and creature designs, it’s not your typical flight game – and that’s exactly what makes it interesting for collectors.
Dropship: United Peace Force (PS2 – Bam! Entertainment)
Developed by Psygnosis (the team behind Colony Wars), Dropship is a more grounded take on futuristic military strategy. You pilot various aircraft and ground vehicles in tactical missions, blending arcade-style flying with a dose of realism. It’s one of those games that didn’t make a huge splash but has a cult following today.
Tail of the Sun (PS1 – Artdink)
Now here’s a fascinating addition. Tail of the Sun is one of those quirky experimental titles from the PlayStation’s early years. You play as a prehistoric tribe, exploring an open world, hunting, and gathering in a sandbox-like environment long before “sandbox” was a gaming buzzword. It’s rough, strange, and oddly charming – a perfect conversation piece in any collection.
Wanted (Sega Master System – Sega)
Closing out the haul is Wanted for the Sega Master System. A light gun shooter with a Wild West theme, you play as a sheriff taking down outlaws in quick-draw style gameplay. It’s a fun throwback to when light gun games were a staple of home consoles. The Master System box art is always a highlight, and this one, with its old-school cowboy artwork, looks fantastic on the shelf.
This batch really highlights the variety of collecting – from obscure PS1 experiments to forgotten PS2 flight games and even a classic Sega Master System shooter. Each title has its own charm, and together they make a great follow-up to the 2000th Finds milestone.
Here’s to the next thousand additions!
