Retroweb Shout-out: Famicom World
Famicom World is the site why I got into retro game collecting in the first place. It all started when I joined eBay in January of 05 and decided to buy me a Famicom to relive all those memories with the pirate carts (Mario 8 and TMNT 2). I wasn't successful at finding a Famicom at first and I actually ended up buying a Nintendo Power #1 still in its bag for 29.99....yes that was my first ever purchase, nevertheless I wasn't going to give up on my Famicom. Months passed by and I finally won a nice lot of Famicom games and the console itself with an AV mod on it (lucky me) That way I didn't had to look for channel 90 something to play my games. Anyways, once I played through those games I decided I wanted to learn more and more and that's when I found this site although I didn't joined it at first, I looked at all the information it had and was astounded by the games I seen in it. That's when I came up with the nickname Famicom Freak because I became a freak of the Famicom console and everything involved in it. After buying over 300 games I started to slow down on Famicom and open my eyes to the rest of the retro gaming consoles leaving me with a very impressive collection but there is always room for improvement! To sum up, visit this site if you are interested in learning about what I think is the greatest console ever, the Famicom!
