Akira is a animated film that was released in Japan on July 16, 1988. This film became popular quite fast and was later on dubbed and released in North America later on but didn't do anywheres near as well as it did in Japan.
Just like most films that are released a Akira video game was released on the Famicom system in the winter of 1988 . The Akira game for the Famicom in my opinion sucked extremely bad and didn't help the animated film in any way.So if your bored and want something to watch I recommend this movie. If your bored and want a game to play, play something else.
