It’s another Sega Saturday and this time around we got Magic Carpet for the Sega Saturn. Now, I’m sure a lot of you will think ‘Where did this game came from?’ But, yeah, you should just read on and read what I have to say. Magic Carpet was originally released for PC, but it made its way to the Saturn. This game was released for the PS1 as well, but I believe the Saturn version looks a little bit better than its counterpart. The game is quite simple, you fly around in a magic carpet and shoot at enemies and what not. When I played this back in the mid 90s, I was just blown away and thought it was fun so I ended up getting me a copy for the Saturn a couple of years ago. Overall, it’s a game that got a lot of mediocre reviews and so-so comments as it’s honestly not that interesting. My younger self was hooked into this game as the idea of exploring a 3D world was something new and exciting during those days. I guess you can say it hasn’t aged well. If you really want to try it out, I highly suggest trying the demo for the PC, it’s out there somewhere and then you can decide if you wanna get the Sega Saturn version.
