Collector’s Corner: Dragon Seeds, Vintage Cobra Figures & Retro Gaming Treasures
This week’s additions to the collection bring together some real nostalgia for video game and toy enthusiasts — from obscure PlayStation gems to vintage action figures, all tied together on a Commodore 64-themed display mat.
Dragon Seeds (PlayStation, 1998 – NTSC)
Released by Jaleco in 1998, Dragon Seeds is a unique monster-breeding RPG where you raise, train, and battle genetically-engineered dragons in an arena setting. Its quirky gameplay and relative obscurity have made it a cult favorite among PlayStation collectors.

Your copy appears complete with case and artwork — a nice mid-tier rarity for PS1 collectors, especially as its price has been steadily climbing.
Vintage G.I. Joe Cobra Figures
Pictured are two Cobra figures from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line:
-
Cobra Croc Master (1987 Original Design) – Known for his crocodile companion and reptile-themed armor, Croc Master was one of Cobra’s more flamboyant villains. Original figures with accessories can fetch $25–$40.
-
Cobra B.A.T. (Battle Android Trooper) – A robotic enforcer for Cobra’s ranks, the B.A.T. debuted in 1986 and remains a fan favorite. Loose complete figures can run $20–$35, while pristine or carded examples reach much higher.
Your Croc Master still has the crocodile accessory, which is a big plus for collector value.
