Retro-bit of the day 039: Final Fantasy 3 (FC)

Today's retro-bit is one of my favorite ever! It's probably my favorite 8-bit RPG ever! I can't get enough of this game and I think I'm one of the few who couldn't get into the remake for the Nintendo DS. Furthermore, I couldn't be happier for having this game boxed with manual and everything. It was a shame that it was never released in the USA but because the first one was released so late and with the SNES on its way, there was no way to even release the second one. That's how we skipped two games and part four ended up being called Final Fantasy 2. Years later, Square would fix the confusion of names and set things straight. We will never know how it must have felt if we have had those games released here. Same goes for Mother aka Earthbound.
