Pirate Game of the Week 022: Street Fighter IV (FC)
Yet another Street Fighter pirate was released and eventually they had to get it right. This is Street Fighter at its best for the 8-bit console. The game itself plays as smoothly as you will ever be able to play. The graphics aren't bad and what makes the whole game even more worth it? Playboy bunnies! Lets take a look at this awesome game!
So you thought all the pirate fighters were bad? This one is one of the few that is actually playable! The game starts you off by picking your fighter. I think it would be wise for you to pick the Playboy bunny as it's a very interesting character. I don't think I should mention more about the Playboy Bunnies as they are a sure giveaway. Furthermore, the characters other than the bunnies are just copies of Ryu and Ken. They perform similar moves so that's another easy giveaway. The game plays very delightfully as it's doing the job right in terms of gameplay. You can jump and not be pushed off by ghosts as the usual pirate fighters. If anything, it's almost non-noticeable. You can perform the moves a lot better and come up with combos that will leave the opposition breathless.
The sound of the game is your usual pirate fighter sound. It's nothing great but it's acceptable. I won't go crazy over it as it's something that it's expected from pirates especially pirate originals, then again this one is not as original as other pirates since it's just an improved engine with different fighters. Nevertheless, it's a very acceptable entry to the series of piracy that is.
The graphics are average. They are nothing great to look at but at least they look as the things they are supposed to look at. There is one stage with just one waterfall and that's about it. Overall, they feel very lazily done.
Overall, the game is a joy to play and very interesting to look at as one must wonder if the creators of this game were aiming for the older audience or just the perverted teens out there (Which is the majority). In order to gain sales, sex is always the solution...sex sales! Until next week!
