This is a decent sequel to the first one. Although it had a lot to live up to, there was no way this game would outdo the first one which is a true masterpiece. The game brings new modes but I think everyone will agree that it's nowhere as good as the first.

Finds 924: A Boy and his Blob, Zack & Wiki, Lord of the Sword, and Oregon Trail Games!
This is a nice lot of games for various consoles. First we have, a Boy and his Blob and Zack & Wiki for the Wii. Lord of the Sword is another awesome game for the Master System. The Oregon Trail games are classics!
Guy Makes NES Mini That Plays Mini Carts!
I gotta hand it to an amazingly dedicated Nintendo fan to create such an amazing little console with a Raspberry Pi! He definitely does what Nintendon't! His name is Daftmike and he has come up with a mini NES that actually plays cartridges. Not only that, the tiny console comes packed in with an emulation program that plays all the game you could imagine. He made the console with a 3D printer, the cartridges were also done with 3D printing and with some modifications, he was able to make the cartridges play as if they're the real deal. You even have Gameboy classics like Pokemon Red! The possibilities are endless! This is making me want to get into 3D printing more than ever. What you can do is limitless!
You can check out his blog here and how to make one as he left all the instructions so you can also have a mini NES. All of this only makes Nintendo look back after the announcement of their mini NES as it's so limited compared to this. Maybe we should start making our own consoles from now on...
Retro-bit Generations Brings Arcade Games to Home!
Retro-bit is known for bringing portable and consoles to your home. They have done a pretty good job over the years and have definitely been improving with their latest models. They announced that they will be releasing a new plug n play console that comes packed in with 100+ games from the arcades of the 90s! They have pursued developers such as Capcom, Jaleco, Irem, and Data East for the rights to put them on the console. The console will come with two controllers that are plugged via USB and it'll even bring an HDMI port for easy plug n play action. The whole set of the games that will be included have not come to light just yet, but I will definitely post about it when I get the info. This is a great way to have some amazing arcade games at home. Do not worry, the console will also come with composite connection for those with no HDMI. It'll also have an SD card slot for recording games which is a pretty awesome plus. Maybe there will be a way to add more games to it via-update or hack but no details on that since the console isn't even out yet.
The console will be available for 59.99 either September or November as the release date is not for sure. I surely hope it's September! The sooner the better! There is definitely lots of nostalgia coming by this holiday season with the release of this peripheral and the NES mini.
Pokemon Go Update 0.31.0 is Not a Good One...
With the latest update to Pokemon Go, things have taken a turn to the less likely to say the least. The update does some things such as update the medals, changes animation at gyms, and bug fixes. One major change is the tracking method which is gone altogether. Now that's just horrible, as one of the fun things about the game was to track down Pokemon that were near by. Now we have no idea where they are! Worst of all, the only alternative to track them down Pokevision was taken down by Niantec! How are we supposed to catch the Pokemon now? Walk in circles and hope to get lucky? What is going on with this game? All I can say is that I'm going to be playing it a lot less thanks to this. Either Niantec needs to make it right, or it's going to get people pissed and no one will come back to play it. Fix the tracking! That's all you gotta do! Here is a list of the changes of this new update which is out for Android and IOS:
- Avatars can now be re-customized from the Trainer profile screen
- Adjusted battle move damage values for some Pokémon
- Refined certain Gym animations
- Improved memory issues
- Removed footprints of nearby Pokémon
- Modified battle damage calculation
- Various bug fixes during wild Pokémon encounter
- Updated Pokémon details screen
- Updated achievement medal images
- Fixed issues with displaying certain map features
- Minor text fixes
Retro Gaming News: Monster Tactics
Ever wanted to play Final Fantasy Tactics with monsters only? This is the one for you then! Monster Tactics brings the monsters into the story and introduces you to monster-only fun!
"Welcome to Ivalice! This isn’t the same Ivalice you may have remembered from Vanilla FFT. So forget *almost* everything you thought you knew. Many changes have been made, not only to the battles themselves, but to the mechanics of the game.
Human population has been mysteriously dying out, and monsters have taken over. You can no longer hire human units, but you can recruit monsters for free in random battles. Monsters are now dangerous - they are no longer the pathetic counter bots of vanilla. Every monster has a minimum of 4 skills, and several have far more than that. Monsters also now have greatly improved innates, including several r/s/m abilities, innate status, status/elemental resistances, etc.
Due to several changes in the mod, it’s a lot tougher than vanilla FFT. Most notable changes that lead to its new difficulty are the improved monsters and enemy formations in general, the enemy scaling to the party level, and shenanigans in general. A full Faq is packaged with the mod, and tooltips have been updated to be useful.
Content has also been significantly expanded. Several new battles have been written into the plot; and new battles are written into the new “Extra Battles” feature, which replaces vanilla’s Propositions. New content is added frequently to new versions."

Game-bit of the day 521: Donkey Kong (NES)
These are the classics for the NES. They started up in the arcade but found their way to the home consoles! You get two games in this one, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr.. The third one was ignored completely which is a shame because it's actually a pretty good game.
Finds 923: Some Odd Additions! Strip Fighter 2, Bubble Bobble 3, and More!
This photo says it all! We got Pocky and Rocky 2, Strip Fighter 2, Bonk's Adventure, Fire n Ice, Mighty Final Fight, and Bubble Bobble 3. They're all for different consoles and what not but good quality stuff here once again. My collection is finally starting to look decent.
Retro Gaming News: Dynamic Designs has released Hyper Iria!
"Hyper Iria is based on the anime prequel to the sci-fi movie Zeiram. As in the anime and movie Iria is a space traveling bounty hunter who keeps running into the immortal villain Zeiram. In the game Iria can select one of four missions with a fifth selectable after the other four are completed. On the way to a mission Iria will discuss the mission with her AI companion Bob, and sometimes will be ambushed, requiring her to defend herself in a scrolling shooter type level. Upon reaching her destination Iria will proceed on foot, making her way through a maze-like level with several paths to her goal. Iria has powerful physical attacks, and can also carry firearms and grenades with limited ammunition. Money is rewarded based on your performance in a mission, and can be used to buy new firearms and more grenades."

Another Koei gem, Saiyuki brings an awesome quest to your original Playstation. The artwork looks beautiful. Gotta love Koei art.
Pokemon Go Balancing Attacks!
There was a little update to the moves of certain Pokemon today. Niantec decided to change the moves to balance the monsters. Many of you who play Pokemon Go might have noticed them by now. The most noticeable would have to be Vaporeon's base attack that went from 10 to 6. It does make sense as the Pokemon was being a little overpowered and was the choice from all three of the current Eevee evolutions. There are other moves that were adjusted as well including some for normal type monsters. All in all, I'm alright with all of this and you should be too since it won't make the game broken, at least anytime soon...
The PS Vita is Hacked! Full System Access to Enable Homebrew!
It was only a matter of time before this happened, and it's great to finally hear some news for the Vita. Apparently, the PS Vita has been fully hackable in order to play homebrews such as games and emulators among other things. The exploit is called Henkaku and it's the easiest way to homebrew your PS Vita yet! Apparently, it uses an FTP server to install the necessary files as well as emulators to be able to use on the Vita. It has the usual range of emulators and just to note, SNES emulation is quite good. Apparently, the exploit doesn't let you play back ups but it'll only be a matter of time before those are available. It's all up to the user nonetheless. For more info on this exploit please visit the HENkaku site! Enjoy!

Game-bit of the day 520: Pinball Quest (NES)
Combine quest with pinball and you get a pretty odd but fun game. I can't believe developers never dug into this genre more. Perhaps it's about time someone does!
Retro Gaming News: Pac-Man Enters the 21st Century with LGBT Pac-Man!
A very gay Pacman <3
"There is a troubling amount of retro games that do not feature LGBT characters and that needs to change. It’s time to accept that the LGBT Community is everywhere and that there needs to be video games to accommodate them. LGBT Pac-Man takes the most iconic video game character of the early 80’s and gives him a boyfriend. This is the first of many hacks that will be made to help the LGBT community feel more accepted and accommodated in the retro video game space.
New Features include:
1)Pro LGBT Messages throughout the game
2)Ms. Pac-Man has been changed to Pac-Man
3)Pac-Man now falls in love with another Pac-Man and it’s beautiful
4)New collectable items!"
Pokevision Makes Finding Pokemon a Breeze, but is it Ruining the Fun?
A very useful website called Pokevision has surfaced into the world of Pokemon Go. It's a website that uses your location to scan the surroundings for Pokemon of your liking. It'll not only show the Pokemon, but also the time left each one of them will be hanging out at that spot. It's very useful if you're looking for a specific creature and definitely saves you time when Pokemon hunting. Now, that's all good and all but people are criticizing the website for taking the fun out of the game. One can argue that the Pokemon scanner in Pokemon Go isn't working so this is a great alternative and wouldn't it be similar to using Pokevision? Either way, there are rumors that the scanner will be taken out from Pokemon Go altogether! Whether you hate it or love it, Pokevision has made people move from one place to the other faster than any other Poke-tools out there especially with Pokemon on the map having a timer.
I have been using it myself and it's definitely helpful. It's not 100 percent though as there are sometimes Pokemon that will appear that weren't even in the area which is a nice plus. In the end, every user has the option to use it or not. They aren't shoving it in your face after all.
Retro Gaming News: Wizardry Chronicles for PC (Windows) is now fully playable in English!
It's great to still see these type of projects still being worked on by dedicated gamers. Definitely check it out if you're a Wizardry fan!
"Thank you for playing our Wizardry Chronicles English translation. This project has been hard at work for over 2 years and now is available completed to the public!
This has also been tested under Windows 7 64-Bit. No issues have been found as of yet in game-play.
APPLocale is not required for running this game.
FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING VIDEO ISSUES WHILE RUNNING THIS, TRY DxWnd -https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/
Current Issues -
1. Some of the letters may appear squished together in some instances. Currently there is no fix for this but is still legible when reading.
2. Class Abbreviations for stats & item usage are still in Japanese as I have no idea how to change that. If someone can lend assistance with this issue please let me know. Otherwise in the meantime I would write them down on paper to associate them to what class they are in avoiding confusion.
3. What issues remain to be uncovered!"
Sega Isn't Striking Back At Nintendo...
There were some news posts circulating around the web announcing that Sega was releasing a new mini Genesis which are totally false. The mini console has been out for over a year! People are starting to try false rumors on a new console wars and although the idea isn't bad, it's not true. After all, Sega is making games for Nintendo including the new Sonic game coming out for the NX next year! Nevertheless, the mini console can be found online or even at stores like Urban Outfitters for around 60 dollars. Check it out if you want a mini Sega mix!

Finds 922: Silent Hill HD Collection, Saint, and Miracle Warriors!
These are odd additions but interesting overall. Who wouldn't want to have the Silent Hill games in their collection you know? Saint is a very interesting shoot 'em up that's borderline decent, and Miracle Warriors is another RPG for the Sega Master System. Gotta love it!
Ads from the past 364: Tomahawk
Another home computer gem. Tomahawk is a classic helicopter game which probably blew people's mind back in the golden age of computers.

Game-bit of the day 518: Game Genie (NES)
This is the ultimate cheating device for your NES! Actually, being a pro gamer is the ultimate cheating device but anyways, this is the Game Genie. If you had a game that was too tough to beat, this was the answer! Nintendo never liked this idea but too bad!
Finds 921: Atari is here!
This is a real gem to find in the wild. It's a boxed Atari Jr and it works flawlessly. Now I need to find some really good gems for it because the console itself is surrounded by crappy games.

Game-bit of the day 517: Manuals
So manuals are always an important part of collecting and games nowadays for the most part don't even bother including manuals with their games. It's sad, because eventually everything will be digital. Enjoy physical games while you can!
Finds 920: Monkey Box!
This monkey box is quite an addition to my collection. It's cute and all but I think by now you know how much I love art ! AWWWW YEAHHHH MONKEY BANANA BOX!
Ads from the past 363: Moon Cresta
Another arcade hit from the 80s! I think I would enjoy the graphics of the ad more than the game itself.
