Ready for another bootleg? This one is actually nothing out of the ordinary. With the release of Super Mario Bros 2J for the Famicom Disk System, a cart version was never released. Just leave it to the bootlegers to find a way to bring this gem in cart form. I'm still puzzled as to why Nintendo never brought it out on the Japanese market in cart form. Either way, there is not much to say about Mr. Mary 2 but lets go through it anyways.
It's Super Mario Bros! The music is memorable and classic. The sound effects brings nostalgia back and back over. I still remember playing Super Mario Bros when I was four years old and not understanding the game as much as I do now. It's just classic!
The only thing different from the original is that this game has Mr. Mary 2 on the title screen. That's it! There is nothing more to say about it. Graphic-wise, it's just another Super Mario Bros game full of awesomeness!
If you want a challenging Mario game, then this is it. Not only does it come with a tough first quest, but the second quest has four extra worlds which are tougher than you can imagine. This is definitely for Mario veterans. You'll be an awesome Mario player if you beat it though.
This game is due for replaying over and over. It's just as good as the first one and more challenging. It's definitely a game for people who got bored of the first one. The levels are tougher and more unique in this one. You'll have your hands full.
Sometimes a bootleg with just the title screen hacked is better than nothing. After all, the game is untouched other than that. Be sure to pick up Mr. Mary 2 if you ever come across it, it's totally worth it.
