Back in August 6th, 1986 the first Metroid game was released! I can't believe it's been that long already. We are all getting old including games. The series started a new genre which was side scrolling exploration in which games like Zelda 2 used although it wasn't as fun. My favorite would have to be Super Metroid for the SNES. It's definitely Metroid at its best. I was never much of a fan of the Prime series and was hoping they would go back to the classic style gameplay of the series. I guess in time we will see if the series goes back to its roots. I have heard of the 3DS game coming out but I'm not too crazy about it. I could definitely go back to the first game and play it over again. Even the second one was a lot of fun! Which was your favorite Metroid game?
