Finds 1558: VHS Anime Galore! Plus Michael Jackson's Moon Walker

These is one of the most awesome lots of VHS loot I've found in a while. What I like is that a lot of the VHS tapes are anime and that's always welcomed because they aren't that common anymore. Best of all, I got them all for a dollar! There is a lot of stuff I'm going to play on my old CRT tv. Do you see anything you like?

Here is a better view at these beautiful media. The best part is that the artwork on them is amazing!

More beautiful media. I want to watch that Michael Jackson Moon Walker first! It's been too long.

Finds 1557: 3D Design It! and Quake 2

A couple of new additions. Quake 2 for the PS1 is a decent port, I'm not sure it can beat the PC version but it's there. Design it! 3-D is actually really interesting mainly because it's for older OS which was very inspiring. I will try to find out more about it as it's very interesting to see what these early programs were capable of.

Finds 1556: Gamestop Black Friday Sales! Doki Doki Literature Club, Hades, Paper Mario Origami King, and Zelda Breath of the Wild

I jumped on the deals! The Gamestop pre-black Friday sale was pretty good and got some really good stuff I wanted to add to my collection. Hades has been recommended by a lot of my friends and unfortunately, it was only available for PS4 as the Switch version was still full price. These games were 60 percent off which made things even sweeter. I finally got Breath of the Wild and Origami King as those two are staples of the console. Doki Doki Literature club is one that has been recommended by a lot of people on IG so when I saw it on sale, I got it. I'm definitely liking these sales and have more stuff to come! Happy hunting!

Finds 1555: King of Fighters the Orochi Saga Limited Run Games!

Another one of the Neo Geo releases by Limited Run Games is here! This one is number 015 and it's called King of Fighters The Orochi Saga. I believe this one brings more than one game in it as it's a collection. I haven't seen them release anything new lately base on this Neo Geo series but I'm still waiting some of them.

Famicom Fridays 014: Double Dragon

I'm catching up with these posts but happy belated Friday! This week, we take a look at Double Dragon for the Famicom. I believe this version of the game is a little bit more playable and less difficult than the NES version so if you are looking for something that's easier on the hand, definitely check this one out. The game is the same as the NES counterpart and comes with all the classic Double Dragon beat 'em up action that made it so popular in the arcades. What a classic gem this is...

Famicom Fridays 013: Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club

Ever want to combine the crazy Kunio beat 'em up style gameplay with soccer? Well, look no further! This one brings you a story mode in which you are a soccer team in the Kunio-kun universe in which you play against different teams of the district to become a champion. The game is a lot of fun mainly because you can beat up your opponents and score goals, no red cards here! The downfall is that they can beat you up too. The game increases in difficulty and it's quite challenging in later stages. Definitely give this one a shot and be sure to check out the NES release of this which was branded as Nintendo World Cup.

Sega Saturday 013: Sonic Jam (Saturn)

Here is a very interesting compilation of games. You get the classic games and why not right? Since we weren't getting a 3D Sonic game for this console, might as well get the classics back on this console. It was an OK move, but Sega knew we wanted something new. This compilation does play great, but we really wanted what the Saturn could do with a 3D Sonic. We wouldn't know that till the Dreamcast days as Sonic Adventure would debut in that console.

Finds 1554: Gijoes and Cobra Trooper

A little trip to Wally World aka Walmart and found some really cool stuff. I definitely want to get into army building with the Cobra Troopers even though they aren't from the original series but a trooper is a trooper. I will probably try to hunt them down, but I think it's just lucky to find them as I'm sure everyone else is army building them as well. I'll take whatever I can have and will be looking for them in every trip to different Wally Worlds. The vehicle is just awesome as I love how they use the classic designs for the cover of this vehicle. Makes me feel like I'm back in time. I hope they keep re-releasing these.

Finds 1553: Game & Watch Legend of Zelda Edition

I was finally able to pick up this awesome Game & Watch Zelda edition. Remember the Mario one from last year? Well, I hope they do this for all the classic franchises of Nintendo. It's a thing of beauty and I highly recommend it. This little peripheral brings Zelda, Zelda 2, and Link's Awakening! So much fun ahead!

Finds 1552: PC Stuff Everywhere! Super Drive, Floppy Drive, and Games

Today was one of those days in which I didn't think I would find anything, but found so much! I went to my usual thrift store and it was pretty much cleaned out, at least for the stuff that I'm looking for which involved games and consoles. I usually don't pick up much of consoles anymore as I have what I need in my collection. I almost picked up a mini Space Invaders arcade but skipped on it after thinking about it. I just don't have the room for these kind of things. Anyways, I also saw a copy of Pokemon Diamond for 499.99! I can't believe we have gotten to this point in the hobby. It's becoming ridiculous that at times, I just want to call it quits. Things are just becoming more and more unattainable, it's sad. After leaving this thrift store, I went ahead and did my usual errands that I had to do and was close by to another thrift store and figured, what the heck! Well, thank goodness I went as I was able to find pretty much everything on the photos. Only a couple of the games were from the first spot, but the second one had some classic games, floppy disks, a floppy drive that I really needed, and even a Super Drive for Mac computers which can be quite helpful! The amount of games I got was massive and I was very happy to add a lot of them to my collection. Please be sure to check out the photos for the rest of the loot and close up of it.

Here is some of the PC goodies. Never had Elder Scrolls 3 for the PC, and Lords collection is just so awesome!

More PC goodies! Empire Earth an some programs as well as Frogger!

A box of floppy disks which you don't see often but I'll take it! GUN for the PC was interesting and I know I've heard of it before. The drives are there too! A USB floppy, and a Superdrive for MAC. I did test them out and they work flawlessly. What a great day of hunting!

DOS Thursday 013: God of Thunder

You ever wanted to play a Zelda-style game for DOS? Here is the perfect one for it. This is God of Thunder for DOS. This game has a top down view which resembles the original Zelda game for the NES. You do have a lot of puzzles to decipher so it contains a combination of both action and puzzler genres.

You have a health and magic meter which you will have to keep an eye out a lot of times. You can recover by eating apples! Overall, this is a really fun game and you can download the full games here as it's freeware, or check out the DOS Games section for this download and many others.

Finds 1551: Peru Loot! Famiclone Carts, Shirt, and Stickers!

Here is some cool stuff my brother brought from Peru to give to me. The shirt is really cool, I'm sure you can tell where it's from. The Famicom bootleg carts are pretty awesome. The Contra one says Contora and that's just awesome. There are also some stickers which I don't know where I'll place, I better find the right spot for them. Totally awesome stuff overall!

Finds 1550: Shin Megami Tensei V is Finally Mine!

I was lucky enough to find this locally as I totally forgot that this game was coming out. This is the fifth in the Shin Megami Tensei series. We already got part three released some months back which was actually very welcomed, but everyone was waiting for this one. I didn't wanted the regular version so after looking around I saw an add on Offer Up with it. The seller was selling it for practically retail which is great because I've seen this for sale online for twice the retail price. I finally met up with him and did the transaction. This is a big box that reminds me of Persona 5 for the PS4. I will eventually get to this game as I'm a big fan of the series, but for now, it'll be there looking pretty on my shelves.

Finds 1549: Xbox 360 Games and Others

Here are some additions that I should've posted earlier but here they are. I have been picking up a lot of Xbox 360 games lately and believe it or not, I don't have many of these. There was also a PS2 game called Driven that I thought had something to do with Driver, but I guess not. The top two on the left were actually from Walmart are they had games that were being put on clearance. Decent stuff overall.

Finds 1548: TMNT NECA Double Packs

These things came so fast it was actually shocking to me. As far as I know, I never really got into the universe of the TMNT in the later seasons. I may have seen the episodes with some of these characters but I couldn't remember for the life of me. Anyways, the TMNT cartoon line is definitely starting to hit the characters that are less known, but are still welcomed additions.

Finds 1547: Amazing Penguin and Spanky's Quest Limited Run Games!

These two finally arrived. These are re-releases of Gameboy games by Limited Run Games. They are decent games that can definitely give you something to do on a lazy afternoon. Limited Run Games has been releasing these kind of games recently, and I have to admit, I like this idea. Please release more Saturn games!

Sega Saturday 012: Crazy Taxi (DC)

Are you ready to make some crazy money? This is one of the most fun games for the Dreamcast that you can always just pick up and play and not worry about anything. It's arcade fun at full blast! Lets go make some crazy money! I was never able to make a lot of money, but apparently the key is to use shortcuts to drop off your clients a lot faster. In other words, learn the map and shortcuts in order to master it. Now, that's making some crazy money!

Famicom Fridays 012: Pac-Man Championship Edition

This week we have a very interesting game. You might think it's just typical Pac-Man, but you are wrong. Here we have hat's called Championship Edition which is actually a Pac-Man game that was released for the newer consoles but was considered a demake as it went back to its 8-bit roots.

The game was released in 2020 and it's just a wonder to play. It was available digitally only but savvy programmers and hackers were able to extract the files in order to play it on original consoles. As you may have seen here, I was able to get a Famicom cart copy of this game. It's really astonishing to see something like this play in an older console such as the Famicom. I highly recommend you hunt this one down digital or physical.

DOS Thursday 012: Captain Comic

Ever wanted to play a classic platformer with beautiful PC Speaker sound? Look no further! This is Captain Comic for DOS. This game is quite beautiful especially for its time. The game has been released in various platforms but the version I played was the one for DOS. This game was even released on the NES and yes, I do have a copy of it.

Overall, you have a lot of classic side scroller and it's not as fast as Jazz Jackrabbit. Be sure to download it here, or check out the DOS games section for download.
