Game-bit of the day 745: Land of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (Game Gear)

A magical Disney adventure where you play as Mickey Mouse! It's a lot of fun! Check out the Genesis games as well!

A shoot 'em up by Taito! Can't get any better than this! Or can it?

Dragon Quest doesn't need introduction. This is classic RPG at its best!

Finds 1016: Commodore Madness! 70+ Games!

Just when you get into something new, things tend to fall into your hands. It's like you are attracting them to you! That happens in my case as these disks have become quite tough to find in the wild. I did nonetheless! This is a nice big lot of 70+ games for the Commodore 64. I must really get that Commodore working more than ever. I want to play Duck Tales!

Game-bit of the day 742: Cosmic Fantasy 2 (Turbo Grafx CD)

A game by Working Designs doesn't seem so bad! Definitely try this one out if you get a chance. It's not one of the greatest but it's good to see a CD game from the early 90s trying to show its capabilities for that time.

Finds 1015: Mega Man and Sonic Comic Books!

Thrift stores are always full of random stuff. This is one of those pick ups where I had more curiosity about the items. These are cross over comics with Mega Man and Sonic. It's a pretty bizarre thing to see, but it works! Definitely check them out if you are a fan of both.

Game-bit of the day 741: Tempo Jr. (Game Gear)

This is a pretty awesome game for the Game Gear. It plays like the Sega 32X release somewhat. I guess you can think of it as a watered down version.

Finds 1014: Splatterhouse and King's Quest the Complete Collection!

Good old Gamestop had some games I was looking for. Especially Splatterhouse, even though I heard the game is average at best, but hey! It's Splatterhouse! Also, King's Quest deserves a room in my collection. It's a beautiful game to look at.

Finds 1013: Zombies ate my Neighbors, Robocop 2, Fat DS, and Magazine!

Did some hunting and found some neat things! I finally have Zombies for the SNES believe it or not, I never actually owned this game! I also picked up Robocop 2 and a fat DS that was sold as is. The only problem with it was a dead battery! I also passed by Barnes and Nobles to pick up this Retro Gamer magazine. I might start collecting these. I wish they had some kind of subscription!

Game-bit of the day 692: Marvel Land (Genesis)

This is a very sweet side scroller that I had no idea it existed! It's definitely worth a playthrough! Check it out!

Game-bit of the day 691: Bubble Bath Babes (NES)

A game for adults only! You can't play this one if you are under age! The thing about this game is that it was released back in the golden NES era by an unlicensed publisher called Panesian. The original is worth a lot of money, but I'll settle for a repro. It's the same thing after all..

Finds 1012: Enter Commodore 64!

A very awesome personal computer finally made its way to my collection thanks to a friend of mine. It's now time to explore the world of Commodore! I read that there are over 1000 games and programs for this little machine. I definitely have to get the printer as well as a monitor for it. It's all very exciting if you ask me!
Of course, I got it with the floppy disk drive in order to read the programs and games. My friend said it may or may not work so we shall see. This will definitely make a great summer project or well spring if I get through everything I'm currently playing!

A game that is quite similar to Code Name Viper for the NES. You'll definitely love this one! It's really awesome! ^_^

Game-bit of the day 689: Chronicles of the Radia War (NES)

This is a very popular RPG that plays similar to Zelda with lots of RPG elements. It's really unique and totally worth a shot. It was developed by Tecmo but never released in the USA. Here is the repro at full English Glory!

Game-bit of the day 688: Grandia Parallel Trippers (GBC)

The Grandia series had a portable adventure that never made it to the USA. This is the one! Definitely a must try for Grandia fans. This one is translated too!

Double Monster HP

"BOF 3 fans who wanted something tougher than the normal game and found the normal challeneges too boring here you go! Enemies aren’t squishy no more and bosses can take a real beating now. with these other few changes that was added as well this should make the game has a new taste in gameplay and how to do some fights.
What does this patch do: It doubles enemies HP making the game harder due to longer fights and a few other changes listed below
  • Archmage only got a 1.5 HP boost due to 3k regen would be too much
  • All sample bosses got x3 HP (besides the stallion samples 10 11 and 12 they only got doubled)
  • Vileweed now has some AP so he can be dangerous
  • Some Bosses got AP boost so they can keep up their spells
  • Vampire now gives 18k if you can somehow kill it while its regen is on
  • Eye goos near Bunyun house gives more exp than normal while blinded
  • Vulcan also give more exp when they begin to move
  • Drak in the desert has more AP
  • Reaper has higher ATK
  • D.Lord and Myria has higher INT
  • Beyd did not get a HP boost cause it would had make the Zig fight easier"

Game-bit of the day 687: Last Bible 2 (GBC)

This is a translated RPG for the Gameboy Color. The game is actually full of text so the translation was quite a job. Definitely recommended for classic RPG fans.

Mega Man V - Second Strike

"Second Strike intends to offer classic style Mega Man gameplay by drawing into what the author considers to be MM5’s untapped potential.
It includes new stage layouts, altered bosses behaviour, and other gameplay changes (check the readme file for the full list of gameplay changes).
Patch a Mega Man 5 (USA) rom."
