Retro Gaming News 049: Cheetahmen II Spanish translation

"This is what everyone wanted for a long time, a spanish translation of one of the worst games ever.

This translation includes all the bugfixes made in the bugfixed release and added some palette modifications to the text to make it more readable.

I hope you enjoy this wonderful story in spanish."

Ads From THe Past 172: Princess Tomato (NES)

So here is one weird game but interesting overall, check it out!

3DS for 169.99 Starting August 12th!

It's so weird I was just thinking of throwing the 250 bones for the 3DS and then read the story of the price drop this coming August 12th so I was incredibly happy of the news. Nintendo is trying to make it up to the people who already bought it by giving them some NES games for free as well as some GBA games....totally lame in my opinion as I rather play them in the real hardware anyways. I will surely be getting my 3DS very soon now! I can't wait! 3DS FTW!! Now, I gotta see what RPGs will be released for it but hey, I can at least get the handheld and upgrade from my fat DS. Good times to come!

Retro gaming News 048: Bugfixed version of Cheetahmen II

"This game is infamous because it’s one of the worst games ever made. It’s full of all sorts of glitches and it’s extremely hard because of it’s glitched gameplay. The game couldn’t even be finished.

Now, you can play with all those bugs fixed so the game can be completed with no problems. No more enemies disappearing, all levels load correctly, and no annoying level number glitch (levels 4, 5 and 6 were called level 3)."

Finds 318: Catherine Love is Over Deluxe Edition!

So Atlus delivers once more with Catherine! I picked up the Deluxe Edition at Gamestop today and couldn't be happier. I haven't opened it yet since I don't have a PS3 and all but just looking at amazes me! Definitely an awesome collector's item, not cheap too!

Here is the back of the box. It pretty much explains and shows pictures of all the extras that came in this set. It even came with clothes! Neat huh? Oh, and a pillowcase!

Retro Gaming News 046: Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water Translation Finished

Totally awesome translation has been released. Fans of Nadia, please step right up!

Keiji Inafune Apologizes for Mega Man Legends 3 Cancelation

Even though he didn't had anything to do with the cancellation of this awaited title, Inafune had the guts to apologize anyways! Even though these aren't retro gaming related news, I feel that they should be shared as I'm a huge Mega Man fan myself so deal with it! Be sure to read the entire article.

"The recent cancelation of Mega Man Legends 3 took place long after Keiji Inafune left Capcom. But still, Inafune saw fit to issue an apology to fans and staff at his blog today (and he did it without saying the game's name once!)

To staff, he said, "The decision for the cancelation was out of my sphere, but as someone who took part in the development, I'd like to convey something to the staff: I'm sorry that I couldn't be of assistance."

Not that his assistance was necessarily needed. Inafune noted that the staff had such tremendous motivation that they didn't need his help, which makes him feel even sadder at the cancelation.

He encouraged the staff to turn their feelings of sadness around and work towards making an even better game.

For fans, he said "I'm truly sorry I couldn't take part until the end."

Inafune himself is included in the fan group. Even after leaving Capcom, Inafune continued to keep track of the game as a fan. "I didn't buy a 3DS for this project, but at the very least I'd like to have played the demo.""

You suck Capcom!
