Retro-bit of the day 263: Final Fantasy (FC)

The one that started it all! Final Fantasy for the Famicom is definitely a memorable game. Do any of you actually beat this game? Let me give you a hint! After you defeat the fourth boss you'll be transported to the final dungeon without being able to save or heal so that means you have to finish the final dungeon in one shot! This is a tough test but I was able to complete it years ago. Care to take the challenge? It's a very memorable and rewarding ending!

Finds 607: Sega Pico

This is the second one of these I've found over the years. They both have been CIB so it's a pretty good coincidence! Here is the link to the previous Pico find. Anyways, these little consoles are kinda of unknown to many but are still a very important part of Sega history especially for those Sega maniacs! Oh yeah, I'm making this my Sega Saturday post as well! Couldn't make it any other way!

Finds 606: NES Console, Suidoken 3, Pokemon Stadium 2 Import, and Nintendo 64 Import Converter plus more!

Here are some interesting thrift store pick ups. The NES consoles are always a good addition. I tend to pick them up even if they're just the console. They are becoming a little tough to find in really good condition. I also picked up a copy of Suikoden 3 for the PS2. I can't say no to RPGs. Then, there were some Nintendo 64 games including Pocket Monsters Stadium 2 for the Nintendo 64 and to my big surprise, a converter for the Nintendo 64 to be able to play import games. That's a big plus right there! I've never come across one of them before. Finally, I got a gameboy multicart and a PS1 mod disc adapter. We used to use these back in the day to play back ups. I just need the little adapter thing that goes in the opening of the PS1 and I will be all set!

Retro-bit of the day 262: Jack Nicklaus Golf (NES)

The only reason this game is in my collection is because it was a freebie that came with a CIB NES console. Other than that, I would've never imagine throwing some money for this thing! Come on, the NES had more than its share of golf games. I would've rather had some RPGs!

Retro-bit of the day 261: Super Multitap (SNES)

This is a nice little accessory for your SNES to be able to play games that were of more than two players. It's a very nice accessory but the lack of multiplayer games other than Super Bomberman pretty much limited its use. You can play Secret of Mana with three people though ^_^

This is one of the games that I was looking for a while but always found it overpriced. I couldn't say no to a friend vendor of mine and was finally able to pick it up. This is a wonderful pick up! The game is just amazing!!!

Retron 5 Release Date 12-10-2013 Thanks Hyperkin!

Hyperkin finally gave us a release date which is none other than in the middle of the holiday season. The Retron 5 will be released December 10th, 2013. I myself can't wait for this awesome console to be released. It will definitely save me lots of space and help me preserve my retro consoles. The features of the console are quite impressive and HDMI input just set it apart from any of the other retro consoles being released nowadays. He will be remembered as a pioneer that changed the face of Nintendo from a card production company to a masterful video game developer.
